  • It is one of the largest nurseries in Kalimpong, covering an area of 15 acres and a laboratory where tissue culture is done for orchid propagation.

  • It has a collection of over 1000 varieties of orchids, as well as other flowers like roses, gerberas, gladioli, etc.

2. Pine View Nursery:

  • This nursery is known for its cacti and succulents collection.

  • It has over 1500 species of cacti and succulents from different parts of the world.

  • It also has a greenhouse where orchids are grown.


3. Flower Wood Nursery:

  • This nursery was established in 1952 by Late Jaganath Pradhan.

  • It is one of the oldest nurseries in Kalimpong.

  • It specializes in orchids, bulbs, house plants, etc.


4. Universal Bulb & Plant Nursery:

  • This nursery is famous for its gladioli production.

  • It produces 80% of India’s gladioli and exports them to many cities in northern India.

  • It also grows other flowers like orchids, succulents, house plants, etc.


5. Vrindavan Gardens:

  • This nursery is located near Kalimpong.

  • It is a beautiful garden with a variety of flowers like orchids, gladioli, roses, lilies, etc.

  • It also has a cafe where you can enjoy a cup of tea and some snacks while admiring the flowers.

These are just some of the flower nurseries in Kalimpong that I visited and enjoyed. There are many more that you can explore and discover on your own. You can also buy some flowers or plants from the nurseries as souvenirs or gifts for your loved ones.
